in what seems a lonely place this was a packed Restaurant with good Food and atmosphere. On the way back from sunset at US southernmost Point, stop to celebrate!

Great Local eatery and bar. They have locally sourced fruits and vegetables with a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Okay food and atmosphere. Fine to stop at if you are hungry and just want to eat after a day of hiking or island exploring.

I had the fish and chips. They were really good. The fish tasted fresh and had a nice crispy coating. The fries were cooked well, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

Owner is the so friendly. I had the ono fish and chips. The tempura batter was amazing. And they need to bottle their tarter sauce. It was all around awesome

The venue is good, food was fine, (very dry fried fish, but the first round of fried shrimp were cooked perfectly, drinks are poured pretty weak.) The big issue here was the service. Two of the four in our party got what they ordered in a reasonable time, but the rest of our food was delivered to a different table. When we did get it, the orders were wrong (fries instead of onion rings, no salad, wrong sauces, missing some food because it was dropped in the kitchen right before coming out to us...) Two shrimp were refired (overcooked) but as for the rest, the waitress said she was "too busy to fix it" and that was it.Everyone has a rough night, and perhaps it was just one of those for our waitress, but I'm still not happy with how it was handled overall. A manager should have come and checked on us to discuss it. They adjusted the bill so we only paid for what we got, but nothing else was done to compensate for the experience.

We stopped in here on a whim and they ended up having the best fish tacos I had in Hawaii. There special was Ono fish tacos and they were perfectly fresh and delicious.Very friendly waitress. Honestly, one of the best meals I had in Hawaii.

Found this restaurant in google map while driving back from Volcano National Park.We ordered Mehe’s burger and Fried Chicken, both tasted delicious and vegetable is fresh. Service is fast and people are polite.It’s a great experience and we walked out happy and filling satisfied!

Our server was very kind and he smiled a lot. He had a rapport with the locals and was super friendly and helpful. Food was good and not too pricey.

Ambiance was nice. Place was clean, beautiful local art work for sale hanging on the walls. Service with a smile. I ordered the Paniolo burger which was delicious. Lunch menu was American type food, burgers, sandwiches, salads. Will go again.

The food was great! We got the Ono Fish and Chips and Loco Moco. The fish and chips were so fresh and perfectly cooked. The gravy on the loco Moco was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and I would recommend this place to anyone passing through.

Best beer on the south side! Sustained ohia logs and all the new trim work in the retrofitted restaurant is striking. The place is an all-out Best Western of Dinner pubs!

Easily the best fish and chips ever! I have enjoyed them in Seattle and Great Britain. These are better. Perfectly battered Ohno - no grease. Tarter sauce is homemade and amazing! Highly recommended!!!

The Loco Moco was good, Ono was good, service was bad. Went there twice during our trip, first time we got very bad service, waitress ignored us multiple times so she could focus on being rude to one of the other members of the wait staff. Second trip they where out of beef and fish and our waitress was very out of sorts, seemed very upset by other staff.... Not sure what's going on behind the scenes but things don't seem to be managed very well and it shows.

Awesome veggie burger and the onion rings are vegan! I’d give them a solid five if they had vegan mayo. 🙂 Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back. 👍🏻Update: Sadly, I found out that the burger patty actually contains dairy. Maybe not a big deal for some but for me, it is, especially when I had asked specifically if it was a vegan burger. I ordered this several times before a knowledgeable waitress double checked with me to make sure I knew it wasn’t vegan.I’m going to keep the four stars because the service and people are always great and I really believe this was a lack of education (and maybe knowledge) on the management’s part. I hope that, in the future the owners will consider offering a vegan burger patty (as well as educate their staff on the difference between vegetarian and vegan) to accommodate the growing number of people who are choosing plant-based options for their health, the planet, and the animals.

This lovely place was open late on new year's eve. They had a great grilled cheese sandwich, and gave us a free slice of birthday cake. It's a bit out of the way, and very local. They don't have a huge menu, but after all, they're on an island in a rural spot. What they have, they do well. The casual atmosphere is good for a relaxing dinner.

Mehe's is located in an unassuming location. The service is pretty slow here, but the food was delicious with large portions. My husband had the hamburger steak and I had the chicken teriyaki.

Calamari was to die for. Burgers are excellent! Servers work really hard and aim to please - it was fantastic. Love this place! Even the salad was great! It's a local pub and you feel right at home here. Of course Longboard Lager on tap was my favorite. We went 3 times during our 10-day stay! Highly recommended.

We're reasonably priced. Calamari was really good Keiki sliders only comes with one slider but it was filling enough for my daughter. Plus the waiter told us about it only being one slider ahead of time. I enjoyed my Mehe burger

Probably the most inexpensive dinner that I've had on the island. I also have to say it was really good too. I got the BBQ burger pretty good!
